Celebrating Popular and Rock and Roll Music From Some of Broadway’s Greatest Stage Performances.

Welcome to Jukebox Broadway starring The Diamonds. This is a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience spanning four decades of popular music. It features over 50 songs from 15 of Broadway’s most popular jukebox musicals from the 1981 hit production of “Sophisticated Ladies” right up to one of today’s favorites “Beautiful” (the Carole King musical). The other all-time favorites include “Million-Dollar Quartet,” “Mama Mia,” “Five Guys Named Moe” ( the music of Louie Jordan), “Grease,” “Smokey Joe’s Cafe,” “Come Fly With Me” (the music of Frank Sinatra), “Saturday Night Fever,” “All Shook Up” (the songs of Elvis Presley), “Good Vibrations,” “Buddy” (The Buddy Holly Story), “Beatlemania,” “Motown the Musical,” and of course “Jersey Boys.”

Through the years since the release of Little Darlin’ THE DIAMONDS have learned one important lesson—the durability of this classic rock and roll music is as much about the future as it is about the past. As a result, THE DIAMONDS continue to expand their audience to this day, performing in a variety of venues and settings worldwide. These performances include—with Symphony Orchestras, in Performing Arts Theatres and major concert halls, on cruise ships, in casinos, at county and state fairs, on tours of England, Ireland, Brazil, Chile, Korea, and Japan, for benefit concerts, corporate conventions and in nightclubs. “We’ve been pleased to find a growing audience among all age groups. They love songs they can understand, remember and actually sing the words to — today, tomorrow, or even 20 years from now.”

The standing ovations and return engagements are the proof—this is one of the most polished shows touring today. With impeccable tight vocal harmonies and the ability to play multiple instruments, the group’s continued success is based on entertaining crowds of all ages. This success allows the chance to keep classic rock and roll and great entertainment alive year after year, in city after city. Maybe, just maybe, DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER!

Meet The Diamonds

Christopher Caldwell

Christopher Caldwell made his performing debut at age 11 as Jerome in a Fond du Lac, WI community theater production of “South Pacific.” He has since become a longtime member of the Actors’ Equity Association while spending a lifetime performing across the country. Now residing in Chicago, one of his all-time fondest memories is performing with his fellow “Diamond”, Mr. Dolan, as Jinx in Forever Plaid. Other favorite roles include Littlechap in Stop The World…, Matt in The Fantasticks, Little Harp in The Robber Bridegroom, the title role in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and multiple roles in productions of Godspell, Sweeney Todd, Kiss Me, Kate, and Barnum.
Christopher has performed with barbershop quartets, entertaining at numerous corporate and private functions. He toured internationally with Sesame Street Live: Save Our Street after creating and recording the voice for the featured character, “Mr. Meanie,” which led to performing as NBA mascot, “Benny the Bull,” for the Chicago Bulls from 1991-2004.

Adam David Marino

Adam David Marino, hails from Rochester, NY, where he attended Nazareth College, studying musical theater. He quickly put his learning to good use, performing in regional theaters across the U.S. in such roles as Doody in Grease, Ritchie Valens in The Buddy Holly Story, and Terk in Tarzan, where he became eligible for membership in the Actor’s Equity Association. Adam has performed around the world with AIDA cruise lines as a singer/dancer and worked with the EVOC a cappella group in the Dominican Republic. He’s appeared in Williamsburg, VA at the famed Busch Gardens amusement park. Adam is proud to be with THE DIAMONDS and is excited to carry on the tradition of excellence and fun!

The newest addition to THE DIAMONDS is bass singer Jeff Dolan. Jeff has worn many musical hats in his career – first as a member of the sensational vocal jazz group Beachfront Property, then as the bass singer and vocal contractor for Ray Conniff, touring internationally for ten years. Jeff was a member of the Dapper Dans of Disneyland, worked as a Christmas caroler for 25 years and has appeared on over 25 CDs. He has numerous recording credits including a Grammy award and singing with the Phoenix Chorale. He has graced the musical theatre stage in both Phoenix and Southern California, and served as the artistic director of the Tucson Barbershop eXperience Chorus. But for sure, Jeff’s greatest accomplishments are his kids — Danny, Bonnie, Hayley and Claire!

Baritone singer Gary Owens has spent the longest time as a Diamond joining forces with bass singer John Felton in 1973. A well-rounded musician, Owens learned his craft as a journeyman bass player around Los Angeles while earning his undergraduate degree in music at California State University, Long Beach. In the early 1980’s, Owens took a brief hiatus from THE DIAMONDS to complete his Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the University of Southern California. Besides singing, and playing saxophone and flute, Owens does much of the vocal arranging for THE DIAMONDS. In that capacity, he is well aware of the group’s particular effectiveness. “Our goal has always been to keep that classic Diamonds’ sound intact. Although THE DIAMONDS are four distinctive individuals,” he notes, “we have created one strong group personality. The four of us as a unit have a special chemistry, and it is that chemistry that gives us our unique identity.”

The Diamond’s fast-paced and highly professional performance brought the audience to its feet in an instantaneous ovation at its conclusion.

Jaque Dickensheid, Two Rivers Historical Society

Our audience absolutely loved The Diamonds! Their programming, delivery, and wit won the crowd over almost instantly. I have been presenting concerts in this series for seven years and this might have been the best yet!

Paul Hoverman, The Van Wert County Foundation

A large part of our audience said it was our best concert ever. I would recommend The Diamonds to anyone that enjoys good music, a fun filled, energetic evening, and great entertainment.

Carol Matney, , Director, Summerton, SC Tulip Festival

The Diamonds were wonderful. Their performance brought the crowd to their feet; no one wanted to leave when their performance was over. I keep receiving compliments even though the Palos Hills Friendship Festival was over 2 weeks ago!

Mary Jo Vincent, , Director, Recreation Dept.
